Last April, Willing partnered with the 100th edition of “24h of Innovation for the Planet”, an event organized by the ESTIA engineering school and held at the Biarritz Casino.
Engaging today’s generations in socio-ecological issues
24h of Innovation for the Planet” is an event dedicated to the socio-ecological transition. For this 100th edition, 200 students proposed sustainable solutions to socio-environmental issues encountered by companies or organizations.
The event is a fertile breeding ground for collective emulation, a challenge that uses creativity and impact innovation to bring to the fore, encourage and disseminate ideas having a “neutral or positive impact”.
Willing was pleased to mentor a team of students, convinced of the need to engage new generations in thinking about current socio-environmental issues. It worked alongside its long-standing partner GLHD, a French specialist in the collaborative development of agrivoltaic farms.
Acting as coach and facilitator, Willing guided these future engineers as they reflected on the issue of “How to transfer contributions and lessons learned from consultations on an agrivoltaic project?”
AgriPView: A web interface depicting the regional contributions of consultation
Willing’s students put their creativity to good use during 24 hours of intense collaborative work and came up with AgriPView, an interactive, educational web interface for visualizing where consultation has made a contribution within a region. It also shows how consultations between institutions, technical bodies and citizens have a lasting effect on the project and the local area.
To complete their initiative, they presented SATURN, an autonomous, inclusive, eco-designed terminal allowing real-time consultation of AgriPView data.
The “24h of Innovation for the Planet” event struck a chord with Willing, whose corporate purpose is to have a positive impact on society, by transforming human organizations to adapt to the changing world.
This partnership with ESTIA aligns with our policy of strengthening our local presence and helping new generations to build a more sustainable future, in response to today’s ecological and societal challenges.
